“You satisfy my every desire with good things, You’ve supercharged my life so that I soar again like a flying eagle in the sky!” (Psalm 103:5 TPT)
“Who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.” (Psalm 103:5 NKJV)
“Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” (Proverbs 18:21
ESV)
“The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences.” (Proverbs 18:21 NLT)
When I was younger, before I altered my body through abuse, I could get away with “sloppiness” in my words and actions. I could eat too much and exercise too little, with little to no thought about it, with minimal negative impact. Now, it has become just the opposite.
Along with improving my eating and exercise, I am taking every thought captive and telling my body how to react to what I take in and burn off. It takes discipline and consistency, along with a lot of hope, faith, and prayer.
I believe that I am able to positively change my body chemistry and metabolism back to its original design by what I declare over it. The power of life and death is in my tongue. In my spirit has been deposited all of the benefits of the Kingdom of Heaven. As I draw from the wellspring of health and wholeness that I possess in my innermost being through my oneness with Christ, I am able to partner with the Holy Spirit to renew my mind and quicken (enliven) my body.
My spirit does not decay with age, and my body and mind (soul) were not designed to decay either. It is up to me to treat my mind and body properly in order to keep from becoming an ally of the enemy in his attacks against my health and wholeness. I work as though it depends on me and believe as though it depends on God.
Sin is simply “falling short,” or “missing the mark” of the original desire and design of our Daddy Creator. I believe this applies to spirit, soul (mind), and body. Those of us who are new creations in Christ, filled with the Spirit and empowered by the Word, have the potential of living as we were designed to live. We have been made righteous and free from the grip of sin, sickness, and death. God’s design for aging is to give time for the growth of maturity and wisdom in our bodies and minds, not the decay and destruction of them.
Aging and death as they are normally experienced in this fallen world are not our Daddy’s desire or design for us. “Kingdom-Natural” living looks more like Abraham, Moses, Caleb, Enoch, Isaiah, etc. (and they were old covenant so we who are new covenant should experience far beyond them in every area of life). I am going to do everything I can to keep myself full of youthful vim and vigor and rely on the Holy Spirit to bring into manifestation the renewal of youth that dwells within me.
Here I go, “preaching to the choir” again.
