“And now, behold, the LORD has kept me alive, as He said, these forty-five years, ever since the LORD spoke this word to Moses while Israel wandered in the wilderness; and now, here I am this day, eighty-five years old. As yet I am as strong this day as on the day that Moses sent me; just as my strength was then, so now is my strength for war, both for going out and for coming in. Now therefore, give me this mountain of which the LORD spoke in that day; for you heard in that day how Anakim were there, and that the cities were great and fortified. It may be that the LORD will be with me, and I shall be able to drive them out as the LORD said.” (Joshua 14:10-12 NKJV)
“Then the LORD said to Moses, ‘This is the land I promised on oath to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob when I said, ‘I will give it to your descendants.’ I have now allowed you to see it with your own eyes, but you will not enter the land.’ So Moses, the servant of the LORD, died there in the land of Moab, just as the LORD had said. The LORD buried him in a valley near Beth-peor in Moab, but to this day no one knows the exact place. Moses was 120 years old when he died, yet his eyesight was clear, and he was as strong as ever.” (Deuteronomy 34:4-7 NLT)
“Then Isaac brought her into his mother Sarah’s tent, and he took Rebekah, and she became his wife, and he loved her; so Isaac was comforted after his mother’s death. Now Abraham took another wife, whose name was Keturah. She bore to him Zimran, Jokshan, Medan, Midian, Ishbak, and Shuah…These are all the years of Abraham’s life that he lived, 175 years. Abraham breathed his last and died at a good old age, an old man and satisfied with life; and he was gathered to his people.” (Genesis 24:67-25:2 & 25:7-8 NASB)
What I am about to write thrills me to my very core! Are you ready to embark on a journey that leads to a greater understanding of the long term purpose of your life? Are you ready to have your spirit come alive and your soul (mind) stretched beyond the breaking point? Are you ready to take your mountain regardless of the degree of challenge; no matter what your current age or condition? If you answered yes to any of these questions then keep reading.
I am honored, humbled, thrilled, overwhelmed to the point of total reliance on my Heavenly Father, and even at times shaken to the point of complete dependence on the Holy Spirit, to be able to share with you that I have been given the “Late Life Assignment” of playing a key role in the “Rise of the New Caleb Generation” (Wow – I said it). Thank you Holy Spirit for emboldening me to step out in faith and embrace this call. So what does that mean anyway?
I believe we are on the verge of a major reawakening among those who are 65 and older within the Body of Christ – The New Caleb Generation – which will in turn ignite the generations to follow…
…A reawakening of Christ-like purity.
…A reawakening of God-given passion.
…A reawakening of Holy Spirit power. And…
…A reawakening of Kingdom of Heaven directed purpose.
The “New Caleb Generation” refers to a new breed of “Super Senior Saints”, who in the spirit of Caleb take hold of the promise of renewed youth and embrace the challenge of “taking their mountains”. They are empowered with the passion and power of the Holy Spirit, and driven by clear Kingdom purpose.
This assignment consists of…
…taking a fresh look at aging and death from a Kingdom of Heaven (here and now) perspective;
…reawakening to the purpose of “Believer’s Longevity,” flowing from “Renewed Youth;”
…recognizing and embracing “Late Life Assignments.”
Within this assignment is a growing hunger that drives a commitment to partnering with the Holy Spirit in sparking a “Renewed Youth Awakening” that will…
…reveal the heart of the Father;
…share the love of Jesus;
…demonstrate the power of the Holy Spirit;
…expand the manifestation of the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth (here and now); and…
…make disciples of nations, one transformed (refired and inspired) life at a time as the Lord awakens “Senior Saints” to their leadership role in the Kingdom as “Spiritual Fathers” (and Mothers) to an upcoming generation that is confused and wandering.
