Eric’s Life Lesson # 111: “I will live and not die!”
I just started a new series of blogs, and had today’s ready to publish. However, while reading a FB post this morning, the Spirit said, ” Hold the presses, I’ve got something to say.” The FB post by John Ruso that I read spoke directly to what the Holy Spirit has been teaching me. The Spirit has been shaking and breaking my religious death bent theology for almost 3 years since the Lord called me to lead the “Rise of the Caleb Generation.” In October of 2019 He told me that He was restoring the 30 years that I gave to the enemy and challenged me to expect to live and not die. When it comes to the length and quality of life that we live, what we see in the Old Covenant should be just the tip of the iceberg compared to what we possess in the New Covenant. It’s amazing how religion teaches “devolution” when it comes to life. What we see in the Old Testament is just the laying of the foundation. The New Testament begins to build the house. Today we should see a completed Mansion, not an unfinished house in decay. To put it another way, what we see in scripture is the “seed.” It is time to start seeing the “full tree!”
I believe the Spirit wants me to put today’s planned blog on hold and share John’s post. John confirmed this by giving permission to share, so here is what the Spirit is speaking to you and me today…
…”First thought upon waking up: my lower back hurts.
Second thought: the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead now lives in you and is quickening your mortal body.
Strongs concordance definition of quicken: zóopoieó: to make alive.
– zōopoiéō (from 2221 /zōgréō, “alive” and 4160 /poiéō, “make”) – properly, make alive (zōos); i.e. “quicken,” vivify (“animate”); (figuratively) cause what is dead (inoperative) to have life; empower with divine life.
– zōopoiéō (“make alive, enliven”) is particularly used of God infusing His life in the believer. The Lord infuses eternal life (zōē) into us each time we receive (obey) faith from Him. This enables living with God – not just for Him (cf. Gal 2:20; Ro 8:28-30; 1 Jn 5:4). His self-existent, all-powerful life overcomes all the deadly effects of sin.
After Christ crucified, this was what Paul preached, immortality.
“And it’s not just creation. We who have already experienced the firstfruits of the Spirit also inwardly groan as we passionately long to experience our full status as God’s sons and daughters—including our physical bodies being transformed. For this is the hope of our salvation. But hope means that we must trust and wait for what is still unseen. For why would we need to hope for something we already have?”
Let me show you that again….
..we passionately long to experience our full status as God’s sons and daughters—including our physical bodies being transformed. For this is the hope of our salvation…
What were we taught the hope of salvation is in most churches?
That when you die, which could even be tonight in a car crash, you won’t go to hell.
Paul and Jesus’ message?
YOU ARE A SON OR DAUGHTER AND THE TEMPLE OF THE LIVING GOD. HIS SPIRIT IS GROWING IMMORTALITY AND INCORRUPTION IN YOU. WE DON’T HOPE OR PLAN ON DYING BUT RATHER WE LOOK TOWARDS LIFE SWALLOWING UP DEATH.
As Jesus puts it: I AM the resurrection. If you believe in me and life in me you won’t die at all. Do you believe me in this?
So when you feel aches and pains and you’re tempted to accept it as a “normal part” of life, take a breathe and go inside yourself and hang with Yahweh and simply say thank you for planting your life inside me. I receive it, help me to really believe your good news.”
Thank You Spirit for interrupting my plans today to bring me Your message through…
