“Beloved, I pray that in every way you may succeed and prosper and be in good health [physically], just as [I know] your soul prospers [spiritually].” (3 John 1:2 AMP)
“My son, do not forget my teaching, But let your heart keep my commandments; for length of days and years of life [worth living] and tranquility and prosperity [the wholeness of life’s blessings] they will add to you.” (Proverbs 3:1-2 AMP)
“Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] requests known to God. And the peace of God [that peace which reassures the heart, that peace] which transcends all understanding, [that peace which] stands guard over your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus [is yours].” (Philippians 4:6-7 AMP)
When I accepted the free gift of salvation I entered into peace WITH God. My sin no longer came between us. I no longer felt the need to run and hide from His presence. I could approach Him with the freedom and boldness of a son. I am already seated at the right hand of the Father in Heavenly Places in Christ Jesus. I am already blessed with all spiritual blessings. All barriers to the Father and His Kingdom have been removed.
As I began to understand more about my relationship with my Heavenly Father (Daddy) I began to realize that now that I was at peace with God I could begin to experience the peace OF God. This peace was much more than just “tranquility.” This was the “Shalom” of the Old Covenant, and the “Salvation” of the New Covenant. The peace of God is “wholeness” or “wellness” of every aspect of my being. It means that in my reborn, recreated spirit – the real me that has a soul (mind, intellect, emotions, will) and lives in a body – I already possess wholeness for my mind, wellness for my body, and prosperity (abundant provision) for my material needs (and wants). I am saved to the utmost!
Now I am ready to be an active “Agent of Peace” as a “Son of Salvation.” I am empowered to be a part of bringing the fullness of “Peace On Earth, Good Will Toward Men” to this sin ravaged planet. The Father’s proclamation, made announcing the birth of His Son, did not leave this planet when Jesus ascended back to His Heavenly Home. It is still my Daddy’s design and desire (Will) to fill the Earth with His Glory. He is still “[extraordinarily] patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.” He still desires that everyone enter into the salvation that He offers in and through His Son Jesus.
I was designed to experience abundant life. Anything short of “Heaven on Earth” is outside of my Heavenly Father’s desire for me. He longs for me to enjoy…
