“He sent out his word and healed them, snatching them from the door of death.” (Psalm 107:20 NLT)
“He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases.” (Psalm 103:3 NLT)
“But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed.” (Isaiah 53:5 NLT)
Today is one of those days where how I feel does not match what I possess. The Bible promises health and healing, however this fallen world in which I reside is full of sickness and pain. As long as I am living in this fallen world I will be subject to battling between the Kingdom of Heaven that dwells within me and the Kingdom of Darkness that surrounds me. In my spirit is complete freedom from all sickness and disease. I am in Christ with full knowledge that by His stripes I have been healed. However, today my body is experiencing just the opposite. This is where the rubber meets the road as my mind has to choose which reality to accept.
Faith is elevating the Truth (I am healed) above the fact (my body is sick). The Bible tells me that I am to “call what is not as though it were.” I am to proclaim the Truth that I am healed rather than the fact of the sickness that is attacking my body. Another great example of this faith principle is the verse that states, “let the weak say I am strong.” The fact may be that I am weak, but the Truth is that I am strong.
Every day I am faced with challenges (opportunities) that require me to choose what I am going to think and speak wisely. When I take every thought captive, and only speak the Truth, I become part of the solution. When I allow my mind to run rampant, and speak the facts that are in opposition to the Truth, I become part of the problem.
My desire is to live by Truth, not be controlled by the facts that I am facing. That is the reminder of…
