David closes Psalm 8 where he started. He finishes by recognizing the majesty, magnificence, and splendor of the Lord’s name. The glory of His name is above everything that He has created. The most amazing thing to me is that he has given His name to me.
Yahweh has chosen to elevate the Name of Jesus above every other name. He has also chosen to give me the ability to use that name wielding it’s power and authority over the name of anything that tries to come against me. At the name of Jesus every sickness must bow. At the name of Jesus the enemy flees. At the name of Jesus every chain is broken, bondage is removed, and all oppression is lifted.
As the image bearer of my Daddy (my Heavenly Abba Father), I have the privelege of being the light in this darkened world that shines His splendor for people everywhere to see. No wonder Jesus referred to me as a light on a hill. As I accept the delegated authority that He has given me, and I live in His assignment for my life, I am able to take dominion over all of the works of His hand.
As a son of God, His child created to be just like Him, my worship silences the enemy. I am able to stop the madness of all who oppose my Daddy. He made me out of Himself and filled me with His strength. He created me just a little lower than Himself and gave me rulership. According to His design and desire, everything is in submission to me. It is through my partnership with Him that His glory streams from the heavens above.
