“Honor your father and mother. Love your neighbor as yourself.” (Matthew 19:19 NLT)
“Honor your father and mother. This is the first commandment with a promise:” (Ephesians 6:2 NLT)
“I remember your genuine faith, for you share the faith that first filled your grandmother Lois and your mother, Eunice. And I know the same faith continues strong in you.” (2 Timothy 1:5 NLT)
Today is Mothers Day. It is only the second Mothers day since Melody moved to her new address in Glory. I am here in my apartment alone today as Savannah spent the night at my daughter Jodi’s house last night. I have been battling sickness for about 3 days so I am not going out to Church this morning. As you can imagine, I have had lots of opportunity to think and pray without distraction. I have been thinking about the Mothers that are no longer an active part of my life as they have all gone on to be with the Lord.
I want to share what I wrote in Facebook as I approached Mothers Day a year ago…
…As we approach Mother’s Day my heart and mind are flooded with wonderful memories of 3 very precious women who the Lord used to mold me into the man of God that I am today.
Sally Raby, my mom who was an active part of my life for 38 years before moving in with Jesus.
Ruthanne Raby, my step mom for the next 21 years before she took off to join mom and Jesus.
Melody Raby, my best friend for 38 years, wife for 37 years, phenomenal mother of our 4 children, and the world’s greatest grandma to our 6 grand kids, before she also ran off to be with the ladies and Jesus (her mom is there with them also).
I miss these ladies, however thanks to the finished work of Jesus Christ, there is no mourning or grief. The Lord has given me the spirit of gladness for the spirit of heaviness. He has taken the sorrow that lasts for a night and replaced it with the joy that comes in the morning. He has filled my heart with laughter that is doing good like a medicine.
For those of you who through circumstances out of your control are in pain when facing the thought of celebrating Mother’s Day, the Lord has given me an impartation of joy to share with you. Please receive the following gift…
“Such as I have been given I give to you. In Jesus Name receive…
…Joy that gives you supernatural strength to face this day victoriously,
…Peace that gives you supernatural stability to stand strong over all negative emotions associated with this day,
…Gladness that supernaturally removes and replaces all sadness, grief, sorrow, and depression, and…
…Laughter that like a medicine supernaturally removes and replaces all tears and fills you with the ability to experience the freedom of happiness that comes from the Spirit through the person of Jesus Christ.”
Be blessed as the Lord implants these impartations in your heart, and renews your mind, setting you free now and forever.
