“And I tell you this, you must give an account on judgment day for every idle word you speak.” (Matthew 12:36 NLT)
“Do not let unwholesome [foul, profane, worthless, vulgar] words ever come out of your mouth, but only such speech as is good for building up others, according to the need and the occassion, so that it will be a blessing to those who hear [you speak].” (Ephesians 4:29 AMP)
“The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences.” (Proverbs 18:21 NLT)

…Everything that exists was created by a spoken word.
…The words that I speak are a powerful force.
…The primary purpose of a spoken word is creation.
…The secondary purpose of a spoken word is communication.

Faith filled words that are spoken create, while fear filled spoken words destroy. Positive words build up, while negative words tear down.
When I speak I am releasing containers into the atmosphere filled with the power of life or death, to build up or tear down, create or destroy. No wonder we will give account for every idle (unplanned, vain, void, empty, careless, thoughtless, etc.) word that we speak.
I don’t know about you, but I am going to take more time to think about my words before I speak. I desire to speak life and blessing to myself and those around me. That is why I will seriously meditate on…
