“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” (John 1:12-13 NKJV)
“Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.” (1 John 3:1-3 NKJV)
“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.” (Romans 8: 14-17 NKJV)
Do you know what I think is just phenomenal? The scriptures point out that I am in a divine partnership with my heavenly Father. The creator of this universe has chosen to partner with me in the operations of his vast creation. There are so many places that I can see that. One of them where it is very clear is in the writings of Solomon that we call Proverbs – Wise Sayings. He wrote…
…”A man’s heart plans his way [my part], but the Lord directs his steps [my Father’s part].” (Proverbs 16:9 NKJV)
I make plans, my Partner brings them to pass in his way and in his time.
There’s that verse that I love in the New Testament that talks about planting and watering (my part) and then the increase (my Father’s part). I plant the seeds and water them, but it is my Father that gives them life and brings about their growth. I make plans, but my Father brings them to pass. What a wonderful thing. What a great partnership.
It’s amazing that I can partner with the Creator of this universe!
So can you! That is why I wrote…
