“Delight yourself also in the LORD, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.” (Psalm 37:4 NKJV)
“Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.” (Matthew 7:7 NLT)
“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” (Ephesians 2:10 NLT)
If I were there with you right now and were to ask you, “What is your deepest desire?” Do you know what that would be? Could you actually answer that question with confidence and understanding?
What if I asked you, “What is the main thing that God has put you on this earth to accomplish? What are you here?” Would you have an answer?
You know, those things are very important. I think God wants to know what our dreams are. He wants us to be able to express to him what our desires are. And I think even more importantly. He wants us to know what he has for us. To know why he placed us here.
Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart. First, it means that he will place desires within you. And then secondly, he will work with you to bring those desires to pass.
I think it’s time for us to go back to our Father in Heaven, and start searching for these things.
Why am I here?
What do I desire? And…
God, what do you desire for me?
