Eric’s Life Lesson # 423: Grace Expectations – Life Expectancy Kingdom Style: Part 5

Posted on August 4, 2025August 4, 2025 by Eric Raby

“My son, do not forget my law, but let your heart keep my commands; for length of days and long life and peace they will add to you.” (Proverbs 3:1-2 NKJV)

“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10 NKJV)

“I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.” (Psalm 118:17 NKJV)

As I continue to work may way through to Question # 1: ”What is your life expectancy Eric?”, the Spirit has prompted me to add to my overall answer. As complete as my original answer seemed to be, the Spirit has been showing me that it was lacking in purpose.

In my spirit I am hearing the question, “Why are you here?” For me, the answer is very clear. I am here to partner with my Father to expand the manifestation of the Kingdom of Heaven (here and now) throughout the Earth. So here is my revised answer to Question # 1…

…Answer # 1: “My life expectancy is to live a strong, long life worth living, without limit or end, with nothing missing or broken; therefore I was designed to live a life filled with purity, passion, power, and purpose; regardless of current age or condition – in order to partner with my Father in expanding the Kingdom of Heaven (here and now) throughout the earth.” That’s a mouth full!

It was a man – the First Adam – that was given the earth and the power and authority to rule over his Father’s creation and subdue his Father’s enemy. It was this man – the First Adam – that through his transgression transferred this God-given power and authority to the enemy (Satan). This single act set in motion an age of destruction and death in which sin has run rampant. This sin unleashed and empowered death (including a life diminishing and  debilitating aging process) on the human race.

It was a man – the Last Adam (Jesus Christ) – who won a complete victory over everything that defeated the first Adam (and has been destroying his descendants) through his sinless life, death on the cross, resurrection, and ascension. He faced every test, trial, and temptation that the First Adam faced without sin or submission to the enemy. It is through his complete victory that I am able to boldly answer Question # 1 with full expectation of living the overflowing abundant life that has been promised.

While there is still an enemy roaming this earth looking for those who he can devour, he no longer has any power or authority to carry out his plans. I now have the power and authority over him and nothing that he does can harm me.

While this enemy is still a master of deception I now have the mind of Christ and the shield of faith which stops any of his fiery darts (deceptions) from entering my mind. I have the Holy Spirit within me with the promise that he which is in me is greater than he that is in the world.

Even though there is still a shell of the kingdom of darkness in this world it is made up of smoke and mirrors. It is a great illusion in which the only power or authority that it can claim is that which I give it. I have been placed back into the Garden as if I had never sinned. All of the original power and authority delegated to the First Adam by the Father to take dominion (rule and subdue) has been restored to me by the Last Adam.

So, as I conclude giving my answer to Question # 1: ”What is your life expectancy Eric?”, I conclude by giving thanks and praise to my heavenly Father who had designed a plan of redemption and chosen me to be his son before the foundation of time. He knew me before I was in my mother’s womb. He has a plan for me that promises that I will prosper and be full of hope. He has predetermined good works for me to carry out as I live the abundant life that he planned for me. Everything that the First Adam lost the last Adam restored and gave back to me (and all of the First Adam’s descendants). I simply need to reach out and take it!

For the sake of clarity, here once again is my answer…

……Answer # 1: “My life expectancy is to live a strong, long life worth living, without limit or end, with nothing missing or broken; therefore I was designed to live a life filled with purity, passion, power, and purpose; regardless of current age or condition – in order to partner with my Father in expanding the Kingdom of Heaven (here and now) throughout the earth.”

Tomorrow we will begin to answer Question # 2: ”Eric, is your life expectancy based on your experience (personal and perceived), or is your life experience flowing from your expectancy?”

Until then, keep thinking about…
