“Jesus came up and said to them, “All authority (all power of absolute rule) in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations [help the people to learn of Me, believe in Me, and obey My words], baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always [remaining with you perpetually–regardless of circumstance, and on every occasion], even to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20 AMP)
“I want you to know, dear brothers and sisters, that I planned many times to visit you, but I was prevented until now. I want to work among you and see spiritual fruit, just as I have seen among other Gentiles. For I have a great sense of obligation to people in both the civilized world and the rest of the world, to the educated and uneducated alike. So I am eager to come to you in Rome, too, to preach the Good News. For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes—the Jew first and also the Gentile. This Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a righteous person has life.” (Romans 1:13-17 NLT)
“The Lord brings the counsel of the nations to nothing; He makes the plans of the peoples of no effect. The counsel of the Lord stands forever, the plans of His heart to all generations. Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people He has chosen as His own inheritance.” (Psalm 33:10-12 NKJV)
Jesus’ final challenge to anyone who claims to be his disciple was to “disciple nations.”
The United States was launched on Biblical principles by spiritual and political leaders working hand in hand. Both the “Government” and the “Church” were reflecting the leading of the Spirit and the Word through the people. As such, there was a season in which America came very close to being a “Discipled Nation.”
In a “Discipled Nation” the Government and the Church (separate yet working hand in hand) reflect the lead of the Holy Spirit and the Word working through the people.
The true power comes from the Gospel and transforms a nation as it brings revival to the people resulting in restoration and reformation of the “Church” and the “Government.” As I look past the chaos and fog of the enemy I can clearly see this revival happening all around our nation.
The Kingdom of Heaven on Earth here and now, the Kingdom that is in my heart and in my hands, is beginning to manifest like never before.
