“Now the word of the LORD came to Jonah the second time, saying,” (Jonah 3:1 NKJV)
“So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten…” (Joel 2:25 NKJV)
“The godly may trip seven times, but they will get up again…” (Proverbs 24:16 NLT)
I had the opportunity to work as a manufacturing supervisor for an automotive supplier. Part of my schedule was a Friday Leadership Meeting in which each of us gave a weekly progress report. I remember on more than one occasion being reminded by the Vice President of Operations that the worst kind of problem was the one that had supposedly already been solved. So often we are trying to turn the;leaves back to green when the real problem lies within the roots.
“Now in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.” (Mark 11:20 NKJV)
I keep fixing the same things over and over and over again. Maybe that means that I keep slipping back into the same patterns, or maybe that means that I have not actually ever fixed them. Either way, I desperately need my next breakthrough! I need the Lord to reveal the roots and help me to finally kill these things from the roots up.
I am expecting major breakthroughs over the next 60 days and will not settle for anything less! The problem is not with my Heavenly Father. The problem is not with Jesus or the Holy Spirit. The problem is not with the Word. It is not with other people. All of these are parts of the solution.
The problem lies within me which is why I am seeking a breakthrough. I am ready, willing, and able to make whatever changes need to be made. Have your way Lord!
