“In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.” (Matthew 5:16 NLT)
“No one lights a lamp and then hides it or puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where its light can be seen by all who enter the house.” (Luke 11:13 NLT)
“and may the Lord make you increase and abound in love for one another and for all, as we do for you,” (1 Thessalonians 3:12 ESV)
While reading this take note of the 6 “I”s …
…Insight
…Influence
…Impact
…Increase
…Interest
…Inferior
Heavenly Wisdom will provide Godly Insight. If I allow this insight to dominate and direct the way I think, speak, and act it will produce influence, impact, and increase in every area of my life and the lives that I touch.
The temptation is that once these positive results take place I will shift my interest away from the source of these things to the things themselves. This opens the door to my flesh and the enemy to produce pride which will lead to destruction.
When pride takes over I begin to do things my way according to earthy wisdom and what was once a blessing becomes a curse.
Solomon shows us this clearly.
Earthly Wisdom is “under the SUN” knowledge and understanding based on “sensory perception” (facts).
Heavenly Wisdom is “under the SON” knowledge and understanding based on “spiritual perception” (truth).
Earthly Wisdom is inferior Wisdom grounded in death and decay.
Heavenly Wisdom is Superior Wisdom grounded in life and increase.
Proverbs is Heavenly Wisdom teaching us how to think, speak, and act.
Ecclesiastes is a mixture of Heavenly and Earthly Wisdom teaching us much about how not to think, speak, and act.
Just think about…
