I am taking a little different approach to today’s blog. Over the next few days I am going to share some things I have learned about the two arenas of life that I believe are central to living by faith: “Mystery” and “Impossible.” For today I am simply publishing scripture that will prepare us for some exciting days ahead. Here we go.
“And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.” (Hebrews 11:6 NLT)
“For we walk by faith, not by sight.” (2 Corinthians 5:7 NKJV)
“Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.” (Matthew 17:20 NKJV)
“Having looked on them, Jesus says, “With men it is impossible, but not with God; for all things are possible with God.” (Mark 10:27 BSB)
“For with God nothing will be impossible.” (Mark 1:37 NKJV)
“The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, so that we may follow all the words of this law ” (Deuteronomy 29:29 BSB)
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.” (Isaiah 55:8-9 NKJV)
“It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, but the glory of kings is to search out a matter.” (Proverbs 25:2 NKJV)
“I want you to know how much I have agonized for you and for the church at Laodicea, and for many other believers who have never met me personally. I want them to be encouraged and knit together by strong ties of love. I want them to have complete confidence that they understand God’s mysterious plan, which is Christ himself. In him lie hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” (Colossians 2:1-3 NLT)
“And he said to them, “To you has been given the secret of the kingdom of God, but for those outside everything is in parables” (Mark 4:11 ESV)
That is the foundation for…
