“Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.” (John 14:26 NLT)
“There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name (Jesus) under heaven by which we must be saved.” (Acts 14:12 NLT)
“But everyone who calls on the name of the LORD (Jesus) will be saved.” (Acts 2:21 NLT)
Yesterday I posted the following thoughts on Facebook. As I was considering today’s blog, I thought it would be well worth repeating them here today.
Here’s something I am thinking about…
…Jesus did not represent the religions of His day. He was the perfect representation of His Father in Heaven.
…Jesus was not relevant to the culture in which He lived. He brought the culture of the Kingdom of Heaven to Earth with Him.
…Jesus made no effort to become seeker friendly. Through His Life and Words He was seeker attractive.
Questions to myself…
…Do I represent religion or Jesus?
…Am I trying to be culturally relevant? Or am I revealing the culture of Heaven?
…Am I compromising to become seeker friendly? Or am I seeker attractive like Jesus?
Thinking about…
…Eric’s Life Lesson # 104: “It’s all about Jesus.”
