“Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.” (1 Corinthians 13:13 NLT)
“Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.” (Hebrews 11:1 NLT)
“For [if we are] in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything, but only faith activated and expressed and working through love.” (Galatians 5:6 AMP)
The Bible describes a “Power Trio” (faith, hope, and love) that will truly revolutionize my life. Living a life full of these three characteristics will not only improve my life personally, it will make my life a greater blessing to all I meet.
Faith gives me the ability to look past the situation, or circumstance, I am currently facing, to what is waiting on the other side. It keeps me focused on solutions rather than problems. Faith is solidly rooted in promises found in the Word of God. It speaks to whatever is blocking those promises from manifesting in order to remove the blockage. Faith fervently expects to experience every promise, and never backs down from a fight.
Hope is the fervent expectation that I will experience God’s Goodness in the future (hope for a bright tomorrow). Like faith, hope looks past today’s conditions. Hope is a very attractive commodity, as it makes me the kind of positive person that everyone wants to be. My hope is in the Lord, therefore when I allow hope to flow from me I attract people to Jesus.
Love removes all barriers to experiencing God’s Goodness today, tomorrow, and forever (perfect love casts out all fear). It unlocks, and opens, the door for hope and faith to work. Love keeps my focus on those around me allowing others to benefit from the faith and hope that I possess.
Love opens the door to God’s blessings. Hope fervently expects to experience those blessings. And faith brings those blessings through the door, giving them opportunity to operate in my life.
Faith, hope, and love will never tarnish or fade. They will never fail. They will last forever as they come from the Eternal God Who is Love, and embodies hope and faith.
That is why I will remember…
