“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good testimony.” (Hebrews 11:1-2 NKJV)
“By faith Jacob, when he was dying, blessed each of the sons of Joseph, and worshiped, leaning on the top of his staff.” (Hebrews 11:21 NJKV)
“Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” (Hebrews 12:1-2 NKJV)
Like the Apostle Paul, Jacob finished the course. He did what he was placed on the earth to do. At the end of the day, the only thing that matters is that I have completed the assignment that the Lord gave me.
Race Tips From Jacob:
- Run the entire course
- Run in such a way that others will copy you.
- What matters is how you finish
- A race well run inspires the next generation to become runners
Just keep running…
