“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good testimony.” (Hebrews 11:1-2 NJKV)
“By faith Joseph, when he was dying, made mention of the departure of the children of Israel, and gave instructions concerning his bones.” (Hebrews 11:22 NJKV)
“Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” (Hebrews 12:1-2 NKJV)
Joseph is another example of someone who finished his course. He made sure that before he left this life his family affairs were in order. It is critical that I leave a clear spiritual legacy for all of those I leave behind. As the saying goes, “…only what’s done for Christ will last!”
Race Tips From Joseph:
- Run to the very end
- Leave a legacy
- Details matter
- Don’t leave your loved ones hanging
