“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good testimony.” (Hebrews 11:1-2 NKJV)
“Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” (Hebrews 12:1-2 NKJV)
The writer of Hebrews gave me a group of Witnesses whose testimonies produced life changing examples of how to run the race I was given. I am able to run far more effectively by following their examples. There is so much more I can glean from each of them, but for today I simply need to put into action what I have already learned.
Final Race Tips From The Witnesses:
- Run for the sake of running, regardless of results
- Learn from, and apply to my own race, the race tips of those who have already run the race
- Keep Jesus as my primary Witness as He is the only one who has run perfectly from start to finish
- Run with full expectation of winning every race, every time
I will keep learning from…
…Eric’s Life Lesson # 187: “I will run a victorious “life-race” if I will learn the “life-lessons” of those witnesses who gave testimony of how to win the race.” Part 13: Finish the race!
