Wow! I could write volumes and volumes about this verse. David definitely had a prophetic voice in what he was writing. When I filter his writing through the New Testament accounts of Jesus, I am completely overwhelmed at the depth of this benefit in my life. There is absolutely no way that I can grasp the reality of this verse apart from direct revelation from my Daddy.
I have been redeemed (saved, rescued) completely (spirit, soul, and body) from all destruction (hell, death, the Pit)! Again, I sit here in awe and say, “WOW!” I am free! Nothing can by any means harm me! There is nothing that can separate me from the love of my Daddy! No weapon formed against me can ever succeed! I have on the inside of me everything that heaven has to offer and nothing that belongs to the enemy! My spirit is saved, my mind is renewed, and my body is enlivened! I have been redeemed to the uttermost!
I have been crowned and supported with love, kindness, tender mercies, grace, and compassion. Do you see the picture? I am standing on the firm foundation of all of these benefits, and I have them securely resting on the top of my head. My footing is secure. My mind is protected. I am blessed from the soles of my feet to the top of my head!
Once again, I have been given the benefits of redemption, salvation, and rescue from destruction, death, hell, and the Pit; and lavishly crowned with faithful love, kindness, tender mercies, grace, and compassion, spirit, soul, and body!
I could ponder for a lifetime…
