When I finished Psalm 103, I thought that it was time to move out of the “Season of Psalms” that Daddy had led me into. This morning, as I was pondering what to do next, I had an impression that the season was not over yet. I took that impression to my Daddy (my Heavenly Abba Father), and He directed me to go back to Psalm 1 and spend more time in memorization and meditation with Him there. I believe that I am then to go back to Psalm 8 and spend more time with Daddy there as well. We will see.
Today, before beginning the verse by verse memorization and meditation of Psalm 1, I am simply going to write it out to ponder it in it’s entirety. My goal is to allow the Holy Spirit to take control of my desire to receive revelation knowledge. It is only by the illumination, and enlightenment, of the Holy Spirit that I am able to receive the Truth that Daddy intends to convey through Scripture. He is my Teacher as I partner with my Daddy during this “Season of Psalms.”
Here I go…
Psalm 1:1-6 (NKJV)
- Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful;
- But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in His law he meditates day and night.
- He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper.
- The ungodly are not so, but are like the chaff which the wind drives away.
- Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
- For the LORD knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
Tomorrow I will focus on verse 1, until then I am inviting you to join me in seeking the Holy Spirit’s guidance as together we ponder…
