“O LORD, our LORD, how excellent is Your name in all the earth, who have set Your glory above the heavens!” (Psalm 8:1 NKJV)
“Yahweh, our Sovereign God, your glory streams from the heavens above, filling the earth with the majesty of your name! People everywhere see your splendor.” (Psalm 8:1 TPT)
“O LORD, our LORD, your majestic name fills the earth! Your glory is higher than the heavens.” (Psalm 8;1 NLT)

“Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” (Philippians 2: 9-11 NLT)
Psalm 8:1 begins by dropping an atomic bomb. The waves from the explosion of that bomb cover the entire face of the earth. There is no one, or nothing, that is not changed when that wave hits. This bomb destroys everything the enemy has constructed in this world to come against the Sovereign God. That bomb is the excellent, majestic, glorious, magnificent name of Yahweh.
Listen to what Jeremiah wrote, “There is none like You, O LORD. You are great, and Your name is mighty in power.” (Jeremiah 10:6 BSB)
Solomon said, “The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.” (Proverbs 18:10 BSB)
From the New Testament, I know that my Daddy (Yahweh) has chosen to elevate one name above even His own. The Name that changes everything is the name of Jesus. He is the mirror image of the Father. He is the perfect demonstration, and representation, of the Father in the earth. It is the name of Jesus that fulfills what David wrote about in Psalm 8:1. Jesus is the displayed splendor of the Father that fills the earth. He is the glory that comes down from heaven.
“Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, ‘Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name!” (Luke 10:17 (NKJV)
“If you ask anything in my name, I will do it.” (John 14:14 NKJV)
“Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12 NKJV)
“Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word, by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus.” (Acts 4:30 NKJV)
“For whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13 NKJV)
The excellent, majestic, glorious, magnificent, powerful, life changing name that I have been given is the name of Jesus. His name is the atomic bomb that wipes out the works of the devil and fills the earth with the Glory of the Father (Yahweh).
Ponder that Name, as we consider…
