“You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet.” (Psalm 8:6 NKJV)
“You have delegated to them rulership over all you have made, with everything under their authority, placing the earth itself under the feet of your image bearers.” (Psalm 8:6 TPT)
“You gave them charge of everything you made, putting all things under their authority -” (Psalm 8:6 NLT)

“You have authorized him over the work of yor hand and you have set all under his feet.” (Psalm 8:6 ABIPE)
When I read verses like this I am left speechless. I have been staring at this verse and have no words that are adequate to express the awe and wonder that is filling me. How in the world could my Daddy delegate His authority to me? He must see far more in me than I see in myself. How can he trust me to lord over the works of His hands? Daddy, did You really give me charge of everything you made? This is beyond my comprehension. However, since you said it, I believe it.
Right from the start, Daddy gave the earth to Adam and his descendants. He delegated His authority to us in order for us to be able to carry out His assignment to have dominion. Even though Adam and Eve sinned, this assignment was never taken back. Jesus corrected everything that Adam had messed up and restored my ability to fulfill this assignment. I have been given the authority, power, and ability to rule over nature and subdue the enemy. I may not look, or feel, like a ruler, but I am.
Why is God mindful of me? Because I am His son, made in His image, created just a little lower than Him, and given His authority, power, and dominion.
